Job Description

Position SummaryOur clients Information Technology group is seeking a proactive and professional individual to serve as a Senior Systems Analyst with specific coverage of the firms’ Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS). The Senior Systems Analyst is responsiblefor systems analysis, requirements definition, systems integration, testing, and support of the CRIMS platform in alignment with key business objectives.The primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide direct support to end users and interface with domain experts. Ensure that business team goals are captured in deliverables and that milestones are met. Assist with resolution of production issues on an as needed basis and develop optimized proceduresand processes for reuse.
  • Assist in the definition, development, integration and documentation of system business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments. This role will be heavilyfocused on delivery of system solutions via projects and tasks.
  • Research and resolve CRIMS related problems, enhance utilities and reports, and provide end user support for CRIMS system implementations and upgrades.
  • Assist with implementation of new system implementations and upgrades of existing software.
  • Communicate with vendor software support personnel to resolve issues encountered with vendor software, and to support implementations and upgrades.
  • Support and execute software testing phases, including systems test, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Assist the team in ensuring system quality, integrity and performance.
  • Create and maintain related technical documentation and business process mapping.
  • Work with internal Technology teams, including the Help Desk, Infrastructure, Security, and the Production Support Teams as needed.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues in a complex financial environment, with various applications and architecture.
  • Cross-train with other team members to facilitate coverage on projects and to ensure that expertise is shared.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance or other related subjects
  • 5+ years of systems analysis experience in investment management or financial services industry.
  • 5+ years of financial services support experience, in particular working in or supporting Operations/Back Office/Reporting/Billing/Compliance functions.
  • Senior Analyst (5 + years) experience with hands-on knowledge of implementing or maintaining Charles River IMS portfolio management and trading platform (by CRD or State Street vendor) v18R1 or later
  • Recent experience in Asset Management, Wealth Management or Hedge Fund Firm.
  • Knowledge of publicly traded asset classes (Equity, Fixed Income, etc.)
  • Knowledge of portfolio management process (Positions, weights, benchmarks, etc.)
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle.
  • Experience in SSRS Development or other reporting tools
  • Strong experience with MS SQL Server development (stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, query optimization, and SSIS)
  • BPA Automate or other automation tools
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, follow-up capability, and problem-solving ability
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language
