Job Description

The Senior Supplier Manager will have responsibility for creating and delivering suppliermanagement frameworks and working practices to support value for both FCA and thesupplierWork with the Head of Supplier Management and Supplier Management team in carryingout all commercial contract management activities for assigned supplier(s); to deliver in contractbenefits. Specifically, there is a requirement to deliver and maintain suppliermanagement plans and working practicesProtect FCA from supplier failure and reputational damage by undertaking supply chainrisk management identifying benefits and opportunitiesAct as an advisor to the business stakeholders within FCA within the field of SupplierManagement and support other team members to achieve the team goalsProviding expertise and act as the subject matter expert within the field of SupplierManagementWhat does this job involveList the key responsibilities of this job:

  • Create, implement and deliver supplier management plans that comply with the FCA
    • Supplier Management Framework and deliver value for money by takingresponsibility for the management of FCA suppliers and ensure reporting andsupplier performance data is robust and accurate
  • Responsibility for actively managing a supplier portfolio ensuring all Supplier
    • Management activities are completed on time, actions are tracked, any requiredcontract changes requests are agreed and documented and accurate timelyreporting is provided
  • Manage complex working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and
    • manage supplier performance risk and contractual issues in line with FCA and publicprocurement and other applicable regulations following a successful handoverprocess at the end of a Procurement process
  • Identify, build and maintain stakeholder relationships required to implement
    • supplier management strategies to support the delivery of FCA business initiatives,work with key stakeholders to obtain joint commitment, with an increased focus onbusiness impact including commercial, supplier performance and supply chain riskreduction. Responsible and providing support as required for ensuring businessstakeholders carry out their responsibilities to complete activities relating to thesupplier management framework such as operations review meetings
  • Expected to support the Head of Supplier Management and Senior Supplier

  • Experience of working in a Supplier Management or Contract Management team
    • Essential criteriaRequired role-specific know-how, skills and behavioursProven background and track record in supplier/contract management with specificexperience in delivering efficiencies and performance managementDriving and successfully creating and implementing supplier management frameworksand managing all related activities within the framework, holding meetings with seniorsupplier and internal stakeholders to discuss performanceUnderstand the strategic sourcing process in terms of the handover from sourcing tosupplier management and back to sourcing as required,IACCM or equivalent (MCIPs) or willingness to work towards gaining appropriate level ofqualificationExperience required in the following areas:
