An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hedley Atkins Ward for a Band 6 senior staff nurse position. Hedley Atkins is a 24 bedded inpatient ward caring for patients at varying stages of their cancer journey. We administer chemotherapy on the ward, manage acutely unwell patients and care of patients in their final days of life.This diverse range of patients will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop both their clinical and managerial skills.The successful candidate will work alongside the deputy sister team to support junior staff and be proactive in promoting quality patient care.We are currently looking for a dynamic and intuitive Band 6 senior staff nurse to come and join our team, they must have some oncological or heamtogical background and ideally some experience in managing junior staff.
