Job Description

The Data Management and Analytics Platform (DMAP) team is looking for a proven senior engineer to join their team! Our fast-growing, diverse team of engineers is responsible for building scalable ingestion systems which handle and prepare petabytes ofdata for reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics.   • You will work closely with a team of data scientists and analysts to build solutions to help drive product usage and find new sales opportunities
  • You will own, design, and implement scalable and robust data pipelines and collaborate with cross functional teams and vendors to enhance and ingest data from internal and external sources
  • You will work closely with the business to understand their requirements and key business metrics
  • You will identify opportunities to simplify and automate workflows
  • You work with technologies such as Hadoop, Airflow, Spark, Hive, Kafka and you will help identify new technologies and set the technical vision for the team
  • You will mentor junior team members and help foster a culture of collaboration in the team
  • You will be working with structured and unstructured datasets
You will need to have:
  • Proven experience building and owning end to end (designing, implementing, and maintaining) automated, scalable, and robust ETL systems with Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, Python, Informatica or similar technologies
  • Advanced SQL capabilities and strong understanding of database design, data warehousing methodologies, ETL processing and dimensional data modeling
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, C++ or any other programming language (our team programs mostly in Python)
  • Experience working with Hadoop (HDFS, Oozie, Hive, etc) and MPP databases (GreenPlum, Teradata, BigQuery, Redshift, etc)
  • BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka
  • Experience with Flink
  • Experience with business intelligence reporting tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, etc
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and containerization
  • Contributions to open source software are a plus
