Job Description

Senior Software Engineer – C# and React -London£110k - £140 base + bonus & great benefits 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) -hybrid (2 days pw in City)Hybrid model (2 days in office per week). We are looking for a Mid - Senior Software Engineer to join The Trading Execution team for a trillion dollar fund manager based in the city of London.The main scope of the work will be to design and develop new capabilities for our clients global trading desk. The key technical requirement is proven experience building reactive architectures (using frameworks such as Reactive Extensions or RxJS) and understandshow to use Domain Driven Design to ensure the core domain code has a tight affinity with the conceptual model. They will likely come from a strong C# background with current React experience.This is a unique opportunity to be cross-trained into FDC3 and the latest interop.io desktop containers (OpenFin, Finsemble, Glue42) but if you even know what one of these are, then you’re pretty much guaranteed an interview.Role summary and job responsibilities

Desired Experience:

• BS or MS Degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years of demonstrated hands-on software engineering experience. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
• Experience with React and UI testing frameworks (such as Selenium or Playwright)
• Programs proficiently in several languages (C# .Net preferred) and is comfortable switching between them
• Knowledge of SQL, Relational Database Concepts and Stored Procedures
• Experience building applications and deploying to public or private clouds, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or similar providers preferred
• Strong Test-Driven Development and desire to write simple, adaptive, and iterative code
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment
• Enthusiasm for learning & results oriented
• Develops data models or schemas from scratch and knows of key concepts such as ACID, Normalization, and Transactions
• Debugs large components with limited assistance and assists other engineers
• AWS experience is a strong plus
• Financial industry experience is a plusbut not a requirement (as ALL industry backgrounds welcome
• Able to operate with openness and efficiency with one or more Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
• Actively seeks feedback and guidance to improve technical skills (e.g., through submitting work for code review)
• Debugs and fixes your own software with minimal assistance
• Practices automated testing and tests your work in an automated and repeatable way
