Job Description

The CompanyThis client builds, curates, and delivers memorable travel experiences using technology, a network of global partners, and a data-driven customer-led mindset. They are searching for their next Contract Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Python, Django,and GraphQL to join the existing engineering team. If youre interested in being part of a campaign to replace manual processes with stable functionality in order to shape the ongoing mission within the Bookings team, this role is for you.The RoleAs a senior Software Engineer you will assist the Bookings team to revolutionise the current system for hotel room moves by building functionality into their Admin system, in particular, you can be expected to take part in the following:

  • Gain insight into the challenges facing the customer experience related to bookings and comprehend the significance of the changes being implemented.
  • Enhance the team and companys success by utilising Python and Django to develop back end services and APIs.
  • Work closely with product, design, and other teams to attain a comprehensive understanding of the business and support colleagues in delivering solutions that meet the needs of clients and customers.
  • Manage the challenges of delivering efficient code that provides a top-notch customer experience in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills by engaging in peer-to-peer feedback and code reviews to foster a positive and collaborative engineering culture.
  • Implement test automation and agile methodologies to continuously deliver features to production, measured through feedback and successful daily releases.
  • Improve the DevOps culture by participating in daily releases and technical customer support.
Your Skills and ExperienceThe successful Senior Software Engineer will have the following skills and experience:
  • Full proficiency in Python and Django.
  • Ability to develop APIs.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practises and Cloud Platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS).
  • Familiarity with Agile mythologies.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL.
  • Experience with SQL.
