Job Description

A leading global Investment Bank is seeking a Risk Business Analyst to join a newly created centralised Risk Change function supporting a varied portfolio of projects. This is a new, permanent role created to meet the teams growing demand and provides anexcellent opportunity to contribute to the end-to-end change delivery life-cycle, with direct access to and collaboration with Technology, Finance and the Front Office.This will be a hands-on role where you will assist with change related business analysis, testing and project management activities. These activities enable Risk infrastructure to effectively adapt to changing market circumstances.Key responsibilities:

  • Running the hands-on end-to-end risk function project cycle as a Business Analyst across the full life cycle involving:- Analysis and design, running workshops & gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.- Managing the implementation and supporting the testing cycle - i.e setting up test cases (both UAT and SIT) and making sure necessary steps are taken to ensure data is flowing correctly from upstream to downstream - Providing subject matter, risk domain expertise input into BAU enhancements and larger change initiatives.
  • Assisting with the Project Management activities i.e helping with planning, maintaining raid logs and providing updates for steering committee meetings etc
  • Participation in key forums where new initiatives impacting Risk processes, system and data are identified.
  • Design and agree upon solutions with stakeholders and the organisations Architecture team to ensure solutions are in line with strategic architecture from a process, system and data perspective.
Skills and requirements:
  • Proven experience as a hands-on Senior Business Analyst within Credit Risk or Market Risk with a global Investment Bank or Financial Services firm.
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst on risk system to Front office system migration and regulatory projects such as FRTB
  • Solid understanding of more than one risk domain and understand the risk principles, measures and processes
  • Proven Project Management skills (across waterfall and agile methodologies)
  • Previous experience working with Risk Managers and business stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience working with Murex, Adaptive, SQL and XML would be highly advantageous
  • Self-starter and exceptional organisational skills
