Fixed-term 6 months with possibility to extendAn independent, global think tank, working for a sustainable and peaceful world in which every person thrives.About EdTech HubThe EdTech Hub are looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Adapting (MELA) specialist, joining us as an ODI Senior Research Officer.The EdTech Hub is funded by the UK government (DFID) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, with technical support from the World Bank. With a budget of £20m over 8 years, until 2027, the programme aims to establish a platform for research on innovation and application of technologies to close the gap in provision of education worldwide. The core partners in the consortium are ODI, University of Cambridge, Jigsaw, Brink, Open Development for Education, and Results for Development, along with Afrilabs, eLearning Africa and BRAC.The EdTech Hub finished its Inception Phase in January 2020, and now delivers through three spheres: research; innovation; engagement. The EdTech Hub has adopted an experimental and adaptive approach to generating knowledge and evidence about EdTech solutions that meet the needs and demands of the most marginalised students and support their learning outcomes. The Hub is further developing a MELA approach and system that supports its adaptive ambitions.About youYou will be responsible for the monitoring and learning activities of the programme. In collaboration with each Hubs sphere, you will collect and analyse different types of data emerging from project activities and learning processes; design and manage the MELA data sets and data repositories analysis; and facilitate sensemaking and learning exercises. A key part of the role will be co-producing MELA case studies and learning products, delivering insights that can help the programme adapt and progress towards its intended outcomes.You will have:
