  • Justify and perform radiographic examinations
  • Deliver a high quality of diagnostic imaging to all service users, ensuring clinical safety and facilitating a high standard of customer care
  • Imaging patients in general X-ray, DSA, CT and MRI
  • Participate in the shift system and on call service for X-ray, Angiography, CT and MRI
  • This is a full time permanent role working 37.5hrs per week. This position is equivalent to a NHS band 7.The attractive and competitive salary for this role is between £39,902 - £46,552 and will be dependent upon skills and experience. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate diagnostic imaging service
  • Have theoretical and practical knowledge of imaging modalities (X-ray, Fluoroscopy, mobile and theatre imaging, CT and MRI) for both paediatric and adults
  • Work within Radiation protection guidelines in accordance with the Local Rules and 2017 Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations IR(ME)R to ensure that the correct patient receives the correct x-ray examination with the minimum radiation dose by using ALARP principals and MHRA guidelines
  • Comply with legislative and hospital/corporate policies and procedures, ensuring patient safety
  • Be familiar with PACS and RIS software system
  • Be familiar with undertaking audits
  • Have initiative and provide high level of customer care
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with HCA policies & professional Code of Conduct
  • Work as a team player, ensuring cover is provided at all times across all modalities, maximising clinical efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with all patients and colleagues within own department and within Hospital /satellite unit
  • Assist with patient bookings and administrative duties where necessary, ensuring verified radiologist reports are delivered in a timely manner
  • Skills & Experience
  • HCPC registered
  • BSc(Hons) Diagnostic Radiography
  • Knowledge of processes and procedures in general X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT and MRI
  • Extended post-graduate experience
  • Experience in both adult and paediatric imaging
