A large internationally recognised business is looking for a proven Senior Python Software Developer to work with and lead a team of developers, QA and DevOps tasked with creatingmultiple enterprise web applications. This is a hybrid role, including a minimumof 2 days per week in the London office.The primary focus for the successful candidate will be the hands-on contribution to developing, improving and maintaining the suite of internally-developedenterprise web applications. This role will also involve leading and co-ordinating the activitiesof QA / DevOps staff and contractors, reviewing and improving application performance and security, as well as formulating the team strategy for software development.In order to be suitable for this role you must have extensive experience in a similar Software Team Leader, Senior Software Engineer, Lead Application Developer or similar role, developing web applications with complex user interfaces and large-scale databases.Itis essential to have detailed knowledge of Python Django, React or AngularJS, SQL Server, Rest API, CI/CD practices and Agile methodology. Any previous Team Leading / mentoring experience or knowledge of Elasticsearch, PostgresSQL, Azure, Docker, Jenkins,SAML / Okta or Jira will be highly beneficialbut is not essential.This would suit an experienced developer who likes to be at the centerof a small team, has lots of ideas and is passionate about web application development.This is a pivotal role in a large constantly evolving business with plenty of planned enterprise-level projects. The role is paying up to a maximum of £85,000 plus benefits.
