Ecorys operates a flexible working policy.About the roleDue to a period of maternity cover and continued growth across the business and successful work winning within our International Development Business Unit (IDU), we are recruiting for a Senior Project Accountant to provide valuable support to the finance business partner.The role will involve working with key stakeholders in IDU and supporting business unit project managers with DFID contract support from initial tender to new account set-up, ongoing management on the relevant reporting systems and finally reporting and closure. This role also involves other finance-related work of the business unit and ensures accurate reporting of data. You will also support and have oversight of timely billing and receipt of income on all DFID contracts.You will also work with the Finance Business Partner to ensure that appropriate systems are in place and work with the business unit to embed finance processes and procedures.You will have the opportunity to lead on providing detailed financial analysis and project financial management of DFID contracts to project managers and Project Directors. You will also assist on providing financial reports to clients.This is a 12 month maternity cover role providing robust support and engagement for the business unit and will be based in our London office.Salary ranges from £35,000- 40,000 depending on experience + £3,500 London Weighting Allowance. We also offer private healthcare, life assurance, 25 days annual leave and a range of additional flexible benefits.Role requirementsYou will be an ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant or finalist with experience working in an International Development consultancy along with knowledge and experience of DFID Financial procedures.You will have experience of working with project teams to provide accurate budgets and forecasts, provide contract analysis upon request and supply performance reports on a timely basis. This will include maintaining accurate and timely reporting of monthly management accounts by undertaking appropriate accounting, analysis and review.You will build and manage productive working relationships with key stakeholders in the business unit and wider business by demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills along with a strong customer focusYou must be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative being productive with minimal supervision providing high level of quality work with timely delivery.Please apply online with your CV and covering letter.
