The world is facing a nature crisis. We have lost 85% of the worlds wetlands, 35% of its forestsand 65% of its living creatures. Action on nature is the next frontier for sustainability, as theworld has to move beyond net zero to nature positive future. Our client, founded at Oxford University is looking for a Senior Prodyct Engineer to join the team and develop a green-field platform.What you will be doingYou will work with scientist and technologist to build a customer facing product and the APIs behind it to have real impact on the world. You will have the change to join an early-stage start-up, that already has an established business through their consultingarm, that is creating a new product to take their impact to the next level. You will work with some of the brightest minds in the UK building a product that will process high quality and scientifically rigorous data in a way that is simple and easy to understand.What experience you will need to apply
  • You have multiple years experience in an engineering role
  • You have recent hands-experience with Python, Typescript and a front-end UI
  • framework (e.g. React)
  • You are experienced with frontend DevOps practices including CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
  • You are are keen to learn new technologies to work with our science team
  • You have worked with AWS or GCP
  • You have experience working in an inherently complex domain and on tools for expert
  • users
  • As a bonus, you have some GIS or dashboarding experience
  • You are happy getting your hands dirty outside of your role or comfort zone, if needed
