Senior Product Developer - Oracle - Insurance - Claims - PowerBuilderThe Senior Product Developer is responsible for day-to-day support and development of the Group’s core Claims system (Oracle and Power Builder tech-stack), dealing with issues logged by users and supporting user education where needed. You will triage and analyse issues using IT service management tools and processes. You will also be needed to carry out development work on a variety of projects, designing and developing complex Oracle-based solutions.You will take the lead in helping to document issues and resolution steps to create a repository of known issues and will have direct conversations with users where needed.In this role you will undertake and product development insight into our system. You will have the ability to communicate results to management in a clear, concise, and easily digestible manner. You will work across multiple teams to provide support and makesure the system is fit for purpose in functionality and performance.To succeed in this role, you will be great at understanding users’ point of view, be able to triage an issue for severity and priority, and resolve it independently, or with help from the wider team. Development of new solutions is a key part of this role withina fast-growing organisation, so flexibility, adaptability and creative thinking are a must. Familiarity with insurance/reinsurance would be useful to have including an understanding of Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims and Accounting functions.Main Responsibilities
