Job Description

Senior Product Designer£65,000 - £85,000I am working with a large financial services company in the digital space - they are re-inventing the B2C offering to expand with their clients needs.They are seeking a Senior Product Designer to take ownership of the design process from end-to-end. You will be the frist hire for the design team so you will be required to be able to build things from the ground up.You will be required to collaborate with product managers, researchers and engeniers to ensure the successful implementation of your solutions. The ideal candiate will be comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels.This role will best someone with strong UX/UI skills and a good understanding of how user research compliments the design process.Expect varied and interesting work, but not the crazy back-to-back projects and unsustainable travel of consulting.Ideal candiate will have the following:

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role Senior Product Design, Lead UX/UI Designer
  • Experiene working as a sole designer, autonomously building systems and processes for design to be effective
  • Deep experience in wireframe and protype creation (i.e. Figma, Sketch, InVision)
  • Desirable to have expereince building design systsms and leading design teams
  • Strong portfolio of work highlighting key projects that have had real business impact
  • Experience in B2C digital product offerings across either web or mobile applications
Key accountabilities and main responsibilities
  • Produce engaging and interactive wireframes and prototypes to communicate, test and validate product enhancements with internal and client teams
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights and bring research to life through personas, customer journeys, insight-opportunity, frameworks, system maps, stories and use case scenarios
  • Iteratively design, test and refine concepts to help achieve product market fit
  • Communicate insights, concepts and design rationales to internal and external audiences
Experience and personal attributes
  • Undergraduate degree in Design, Business, Psychology, Strategy, Marketing or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in the financial services sector or deep personal interest in investments
  • Experience in waterfall and agile/SCRUM methodologies alike
  • Positive attitude and an intrinsic motivation to deliver highest quality work
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills, empathy and willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams
Bonus
