What youll doYoure joining a team thats passionate about the customer vision and delivering a seamless onboarding experience for our customers. Aligned to our Start and Manage my banking relationship customer goals, youll be working with your colleagues to deliverthe technology strategic roadmap, while ensuring the right balance between our business goals and building future technology, at the right cost. As a Senior Principal Quality Engineer, youll provide vision and direction for the software quality engineering function, ensuring alignment with the companys objectives. Youll develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive software quality assurance policiesand procedures. Youll design and implement test automation frameworks and solutions to ensure efficient and thorough testing cycles and oversee the creation of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Youll be leading the more significant, complex and technically challenging assignments, coordinating multiple feature teams, making sure that their technical journeys support realisation of the targets, and deliver the values of the relevant metrics publishedto our investors. Youll also:
  • Manage and prioritise defects, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication to stakeholders
  • Coach and mentor junior and mid-level quality engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning
  • Analyse quality assurance metrics and drive improvements in processes and practices
  • Promote and implement CI/CD practices in coordination with the DevOps and development teams
  • Evaluate the potential risk areas in software and prioritise them based on severity
The skills youll needYoull come with significant experience in a software quality assurance leadership role along with SME product strategy experience. Youll have an expert understanding of the latest market trends, technologies and tools, and bring significant and demonstrableexperience of implementing programming best practice. Youll need certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar. Youll also need:
  • Proven experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Groovy Spock, TestNG, or similar
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, GitLab or similar
  • Java and SpringBoot programming language knowledge
  • A deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Hands-on experience with performance, security, white box and black box testing
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as finance or banking
