Main Areas of ResponsibilityYou will assist the Premises Manager in ensuring the effective management, organisation and supervision of all matters relating to, and all staff involved with, Harris Westminster Sixth Form’s premises. This will also involve deputising for the FacilitiesManager in his/her absence, paying particular attention to the following:

• Supervision and monitoring of work performed by staff involved in maintaining the school in a good state of repair and cleanliness, including cleaning staff and external engineers and maintenance personnel. Where necessary take responsibility for the organisationand prioritising of the team’s workload.
• The inspection of premises and the identification of those areas which require attention either in the long or short term.
• Ensuring that the relevant Health and Safety guidelines are observed in conjunction with the Facilities Manager and the Vice Principal, and that immediate action is taken where possible to avoid injury or damage. Inform the Facilities Manager of any defector actions which may place at risk staff, students or visitors to the school.

What We are Looking ForWe would like to hear from you if you have:

• Good knowledge of Health and Safety regulations;
• Sound training in one or more of the following and basic knowledge in another two: plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical, building maintenance, heating systems;
• Basic knowledge of the operation of heating, ventilating systems and common causes of malfunctions;
• Knowledge of supervisory skills;
• Understanding of appropriate cleaning methods and standards
