Senior Network Engineer (Financial Services - Trading Platforms)Type: Outside IR35 Contract Location: London (Hybrid – Majority WFH) Client Overview:Our client, a growing financial services firm, seeks a Senior Network Engineer. This pivotal role involves strategic planning for system integrations and Palo Alto firewall deployments, ensuring network reliability and security. Key Responsibilities:• Strategically plan and execute the integration of acquired businesses systems into existing infrastructure. • Configure and oversee Palo Alto firewalls to maintain security and compliance standards. • Architect and optimize network infrastructure to enhance trading platform performance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive network solutions. • Proactively troubleshoot network issues and implement effective monitoring strategies. • Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing. • Integrating legacy systems / platforms into Palo Alto, experience implementing over Juniper and Cisco would be advantageous. • Lead network projects, ensuring operational stability and alignment with business objectives. Desired Experience:• Extensive experience in financial services network engineering, with a focus on strategic planning and implementation. • Expertise in Palo Alto firewall configuration and management, ensuring robust security measures. • Strong understanding of network protocols and security principles, with a track record of successful deployments. • Proven experience delivering results in a project-based environment, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations. • Project management experience and operational familiarity, ensuring seamless execution of network initiatives. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of network infrastructure within a dynamic and innovative financial services environment.
