Job Description

High growth, ethical retail bank with a large global payments platform behind itCareer trajectory impressive with a to grow into Head Of title - initially focused on ICAAP-ILAAP-RRP and Regulatory ReportingCity of London location (hybrid working model - 3 days p wk in office but can flex up/down week on week)DescriptionSenior Manager, ICAAP-ILAAP-RRP and Regulatory ReportingCity of London location (hybrid working model - 3 days p wk in office but can flex up/down week on week)Banking & Financial ServicesThe Head of Finance - responsible for all aspects of financial reporting concerned with the business. Key responsibilities would include:

  • Preparing core financial reports for internal reporting to support governance and business performance management; this includes Executive Committee, Board and ALCO reporting. Key to this is the management of the outsource relationship with Core Financewho perform the financial control function for the Bank
  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns; including ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan
  • Prepare regular balance sheet and P&L forecasts; lead the Banks process for the development of the Medium Term Plan (MTP) and budget
  • Develop and implement business performance management processes, for example customer and product profitability
  • Support project work affecting the business including business development, regulatory change and finance transformation
  • Manage one direct report
FinControl:
  • Financial Accounting - working with outsource service providers,CoreFinance
    • Ensure that transactions / business activity are appropriately accounted for
    • Support the annual audit and financial statement preparation process
  • Taxation - working with outsource service provider, Core Finance, ensure the Banks tax returns are completed in line with deadlines as required
  • Continuous improvement
    • Maintain a log of finance issues which require remediation and work with stakeholders to develop strategic solutions to such
    • Continuously evaluate existing processes and make changes which enhance efficiency and control
FPandA:
  • Core Finance are responsible for the preparation of first draft management accounts. The Head of Finance role uses the draft and further enhances these adding performance commentary and key capital and liquidity metrics. The Head of Finance is responsiblefor submitting the management accounts to the Executive Committee and Board
  • Other ad hoc analysis to support business performance understanding and management
Reg Reporting:
  • Reporting of Capital, Liquidity and other appropriate risk metrics to business management and other stakeholders
  • Own on behalf of the Bank the ongoing (at least annual) update of key governance and regulatory documents including
    • ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan
    • Single Customer View
    • Deposit Guarantee Scheme reporting
  • Reporting of Capital, Liquidity and other appropriate risk metrics to business management and other stakeholders
  • Own on behalf of the Bank the ongoing (at least annual) update of key governance and regulatory documents including
    • ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan
    • Single Customer View
    • Deposit Guarantee Scheme reporting
  • Responsible for the preparation, review and submission of all regulatory returns
Projects:
  • Act as the Finance representative for all change related activities ensuring that business development does not detract from sound principles of financial controlorintroduceunmanaged risks into the business
    • Working with Project Teams to ensure Finance requirements are fully documented
    • Ensure that design (systems and processes) are consistent with Finance requirements
    • Updating of Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), risk management actions, controls and related materials and processes to ensure existing control environment and standards are maintained / improved
Team mangement:
  • Effective management of team (one direct report initially)
    • Pro-actively develop plans and priorities for team
    • Active performance management through objective setting, KPI tracking and appropriate feedback
    • Recruitment and retention strategies
    • Training
ProfileSenior Manager, ICAAP-ILAAP-RRP and Regulatory ReportingCity of London location (hybrid working model - 3 days p wk in office but can flex up/down week on week)
  • Prior experience in a Banking including Statutory and Regulatory reporting experience
  • Strong technical accounting and banking regulatory skills and knowledge
  • Track record of being a change agent
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Technical problem solving
  • Strong systems skills (Excel etc)
  • Educated to Degree Level
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA; ACCA; CIMA)
Job Offer
  • Base £80,000 - £90,000
