Our team covers End-to-End commercial activities for first mile, middle mile and last mile operations across Europe. Amazon seeks a Senior Manager - Commercial Development and Delivery Procurement to own and develop relationships with carriers, develop country delivery strategies and negotiate multi-million/billion dollar deals. Commercial Development and Delivery Procurement at Amazon EU is all about creating and adding value through great category management, leadership, sourcing activities, supplier management and business development. Our team looks after suppliers across a fullrange of delivery sub-categories as well as jointly owns with partner teams long term planning activities of various program and geographies spanning all of Europe. Role Scope This role has responsibility to define, develop and implement delivery commercial strategies for one large or several medium size countries in any of our End-to-End delivery categories and covering specific geographies or programs.The Manager will have responsibility for contracts negotiations, relationship management and partner development, support new product/service roll-outs and this in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders and functions.Key job responsibilities- Drive appropriate commercial relationships with category suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving the lowest total cost of ownership that meets the business’ goals supported by a culture of continuous improvement with cost & performance benchmarksin use- Establish country and carriers sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers, and execute sustainable contracts to optimize Amazon’s e2e benefit and on behalf of our customers- Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor and optimize opportunities- Drive category suppliers in supplier relationship management activities to improve performance and add value to Amazon operations- A core member of the commercial development and procurement team with responsibility to drive development and roll-out of best practices to support our journey towards Commercial Excellence.- Develop and continually improve contract templates in alignment with internal stakeholders (e.g., align requirements for new services / align terms with finance, tax, legal); develop pre-approved standard clauses in order to maximize contract value and fulfilmentof customer needs- Establish structured and lean contract update / renewal process and ensure appropriate contract management discipline- Develop an aligned strategy including initiatives to establish new and innovative services, drive performance and speed improvements, and secure capacity for growth- Engage stakeholders to ensure the supply base meets Amazon’s business needs in all areas and is prepared for future requirements- Establish carrier performance management, define evaluations and classifications, drive towards long-term strategic partnerships with high performing carriers- Identify and implement significant bottom-line cost savings and new sources of revenue through business development.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Luxembourg, London or Munich #NPROCWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:London, GBRBASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s, Masters degree or MBA- Knowledge of procurement/commercial strategy definition and implementation (strong commercial acumen). - Excellent written skills with the experience and capability to create and present documentation to senior executives- Excellent command of the English language- Extensive professional experience in business development, partner development, procurement, sales or marketing.- High level of numeracy, analytical and problem solving skills- Financials understanding (ability to develop should-cost models, P&L / Balance sheet non-finance expert understandings)- Excellent negotiation skills with knowledge of contract lawPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in wider supply chain or operations or logistics- Fluent in another language is a plus- Strong interpersonal influencing and communication skills are essential- Experienced in sophisticated negotiations involving senior leaders of partner organization- Ability to prioritize well- A flexible, highly motivated self-starter, eager to develop pragmatic approaches / solutions to drive simplification and to succeed in a challenging environmentAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
