Job Description

A Senior Management Accountant is required to work for a fast-growth Consumer Products business based in London (with remote working available), on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working for a business that has achieved record-breaking sales in 2020 and that has also won several new contracts both in the UK and internationally, this is a role to support the finance team whilst they implement a new ERP system to help facilitate future growth.The Senior Management Accountant will report to the Finance Director and will be covering part of the Finance Manager’s role whilst he is seconded onto the ERP project. Your core duties will include taking ownership of the cashflow forecasting, dealing with FX rates, supporting with the preparation of month-end and management accounts as well as assisting with the ERP implementation.Responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of the cashflow forecasting and reporting including analysis of forecast vs actual
  • Management of month-end for UK & international entities including balance sheet, accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Supporting with royalty accounting on a monthly basis
  • Working with international finance teams to coordinate the month-end and management accounting
  • Handling FX reporting
  • Assisting with the VAT returns
  • Working with the Finance Director on a variety of projects including and the implementation of the new ERP system
    • The successful candidate will be a finalist/qualified accountant with strong cashflow forecasting experience as well as experience working in a consumer/stock-related industry. You must have strong management accounting and month end experience and have knowledge of foreign currency. To succeed in this role, you will be flexible and adaptable in what duties you undertake and will have excellent communication skills to be able to work with various finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business.The business is growing rapidly, should you prove yourself in this role, there is a strong possibility the role could become permanent.
