Job Description

SENIOR LEGAL & BUSINESS AFFAIRS EXECUTIVESCRIPTED TV PRODUCTIONLONDON / HYBRID4/5 DAYSOur client is one of the UK’s leading television production companies. Over the last twenty years it has enjoyed an exceptional output of outstanding original scripted television comedy and drama with a track record of nurturing talent.We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal & Business Affairs Executive with proven post qualification (or equivalent) experience in television production (whether from private practice or in-house). Experience in film production would be an advantage.The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and drafting agreements, including with key contributors (e.g. writers, rights owners, artists, directors, producers) and with co-production partners and broadcasters and financiers across a diverserange of programmes and motion pictures.They will also provide legal support to all levels of the editorial and production teams throughout the creative process, from development, through production to final delivery.You will have a working knowledge of the UK television sector, relevant collective bargaining agreements and the broadcaster Terms of Trade. A knowledge of the US television sector and UK data protection legislation and its application would be an advantage.Candidates must be proactive, reliable and have excellent communication skills with a proven ability to draft and produce clear and concise documentation.
