As a Barclays Senior Java Developer you will join us at an exciting time of growth in our team. What will you be doingDeveloping the application, within an Agile environment, using Java and AWSProducing SOLID code with excellent test coverageLeadingthe team, providing support to colleagues reporting into youIdentifying own and others development needs and seeking opportunities to address these needs through guidance, coaching and formal trainingUsing knowledge of emerging software developmentmethods, tools and standards and actively keeping this knowledge current What were looking for:Good command of the Java programming language with proven experience in using Spring Framework and data structuresExperiece building high performant scalablebackend services in AWS using AWS service such as EKS, Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, AWS Steps, etc.Knowledge of RDBMS development (e.g. Oracle) & SQL skillsExperience in at least 1 NOSQL DB, such as MongodDB Skills that will help you in the role:Profiencienywith messaging systems covering RabbitMQ, Kafka & MuleProfeciency in DevOps and Agile style of Software Development with knowledge of tools such as SonarQube, Jenkins, Jprofiler, Maven etc.Good command on service patterns and protocols covering Web Services,API, REST, RPCExperience of using API test frameworks Where will you be working You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.
