Job Description

Job Title: Senior IT EngineerLocation: West/Central LondonSalary: £35,000 - £40,000Our client is looking to expand their team and would like to onboard a Senior IT Engineer, based in West/Central London. You will be responsible for providing technical support to clients, ensuring that their IT systems are running efficiently and trouble-free.Job Responsibilities:

  • Involvement with various projects/ project planning, including migrations, installations, surveys
  • Provide technical support to clients, both remotely and on-site, responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and other communication channels
  • Install, configure, maintain and upgrade hardware and software systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems
  • Monitor and administer security systems
  • Develop, document and maintain procedures for system maintenance and upgrades
  • Provide technical advice and training to customers as required
  • Ensure that all customer requests are dealt with in a timely manner, operating within SLAs
  • Monitor customer systems to ensure they are running smoothly
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure that the IT systems remain compliant with industry standards
Technical Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of Windows, Mac OSX, Google Chrome
  • Strong understanding of WAN/LAN, DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP
  • Hands on experience with router and firewall configurations
  • Supporting, managing and modifying network infrastructure including cabling
  • Knowledge of server and database administration
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites (2013 or newer) including O365 Apps
  • Ticketing systems / using helpdesks (Zendesk/ServiceNow etc)
  • Knowledge of security protocols and best practices
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies VMWare / Hyper-V
  • Experience with cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, etc.
  • Understanding of VoIP systems (3CX experience preferable)
  • Cloud technologies - Microsoft Azure, AWS
  • MDM solutions - Intune, AirWatch, Mobile Iron etc.
