Senior IT Auditor for Leading General Insurer

Responsibilities:

Lead and perform Information Technology based audits in accordance with professional standards to ensure that internal controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively.
This position will have responsibility for reviewing all aspects of Information Technology (IT) including infrastructure, application controls, and IT processes.
The Senior IT Internal Auditor will provide management with an independent assessment and assurance related to the adequacy, effectiveness, and sustainability of controls.
The auditor will also contribute to the SOX Compliance effort by performing or supporting walkthroughs and test of IT internal controls for in-scope systems and infrastructure
Demonstrate knowledge around various applications, databases, operating systems, and network controls
Work with process owners and management during integrated audits to ensure key risks are adequately addressed
Working with the 2nd Line functions (e.g., IRM, ERM, Compliance) as needed
Providing training and coaching to junior IT Internal Audit staff

Required:

Be CISA qualified or have equivalent professional qualification
Benefit if they have or are working toward an ACA, ACCA, PIIA, CMIIA, CPA or equivalent audit qualification, or be at the final year of studies
Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent with a major in Finance/Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other related field (i.e. Information Security)
Have extensive experience as an IT (internal and/or external) auditor within the general insurance, Lloyds and/or Big 4 environment
