Job Description

We employ more than 14,000 people in 43 countries.Our underlying business strategy is to maintain operations in the key global insurance markets and, where possible, to be a lead underwriter for selected lines of business.The Opportunity: This opportunity is accountable for building, administering, supporting, and maintaining solutions as directed and according to QBE divisional policy. Work with a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers to ensure services are integrated, delivered, and operated as required. Translate architectural designs into operations by collaborating with technical architects and being supported by third parties on voice infrastructure services.Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement efficient and effective telecommunications systems by guiding installation of technologies and providing on-going maintenance and support to support business requirements and key stakeholder expectations
  • Assist in the execution of accurate, effective telecommunications systems by partnering with team and key stakeholders, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and monitoring telecommunications equipment to ensure quality level of service and alignment with business needs
  • Deliver technical solutions for complex telecommunications issues by analysing business needs and troubleshooting errors to restore and re-route telecommunications services within agreed upon service level agreements
  • Mentor junior telecommunications engineers by regularly communicating, gathering inquiries, and guiding engineers on best practices to support alignment with business operations and service level commitments
  • Support timely and efficient team operations by sharing knowledge of telecommunications systems and call centre best practices to guide completion of assigned workload according to established timelines

    • You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Experience in enterprise and contact centre voice platforms primarily Genesys Pure Connect. Experience with Microsoft Teams and/or Cisco Call Manger is a plus.
  • Advanced working knowledge of IP Telephony and SIP.
  • Advanced working knowledge of ACD systems
  • Advanced working knowledge of Pure Connect Handlers, REST integrations with third-party systems.
  • Advanced working knowledge in SQL Queries, stored procedures, maintenance, spreadsheet applications and MS Office
  • Generate or adapt equipment and technology to serve user needs; understand the needs and goals of customers and actively look for ways to meet them
  • Communicate information in a clear, well-organized, and professional manner; collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple levels
  • Analyse information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems
