Job Description

  • Extensive professional experience in incident management with an understanding of incident management practices and skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage incidents to a timely resolution, while assessing impact, implementing mitigation and establishing root cause.
  • Demonstrable experience of strong leadership skills and implementing and streamlining effective incident management processes to optimise operational efficiency and capacity within a team.
  • Extensive experience of monitoring tools such as Jira, Splunk, Power BI
  • Strong communication skills, experience of drafting of incident communications, and preparing post incident reports to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders, including recommendations for improvement and lessons learned.
  • Strong stakeholder management/engagement skills with experience of working collaboratively and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An understanding of clinical governance and how to minimise patient safety incidents
  • Evidence of the ability to respond to operational issues and deliver/operationalise solutions at pace.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse incident data and identify adverse incident trends.
Desirable
  • Previous Public Inquiry experience would be an advantage, COVID-19 specific desirable.
  • Evidence of strong drafting skills at pace required to facilitate Public Inquiry responses.
