Our client is on the lookout for someone who will take forward the international expansion of their Renewable Energy Programme (REP). The post holder will work within thecompanys Energy System team, based in London and working with international offices and partners.The RoleThe Renewable Energy Programme is a collaborative initiative run by the company. The mission is to accelerate change towards zero carbon electricity grids globally by 2040.This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward the roll-out of the programme an ambitious international growth strategy, developing and driving impactful policy-change projects with local partners in key regions including Africa, Asia-Pacific/ASEAN andEurope.Since its formation, the programme is driving real change in key energy markets and is highly regarded as a global force for positive change. They work with policymakers to enable companies to achieve their 100% renewable electricity goals and acceleratea market-driven energy transition.Reporting to the Head of the programme and responsible for line management of a growing team, the role involves close working relationships with the Engagement Manager and the Campaign Senior Manager. Key relationships include colleagues from internationaloffices in China, India and the US, and partner organisations in Europe, Australia, Japan, Korea, South Africa, and Taiwan.The role offers significant opportunity for professional development for an ambitious person with a passion for creating a sustainable future.ResponsibilitiesImpact Management:

• Drive the roll-out of ambitious REP impact strategy through development and consolidation of regional operations in key markets, in partnership with local teams and partner organisations.
• Oversee relationships with up to 16 international REP Hubs, growing the necessary funding and resource to achieve 2026 goals.
• Develop impactful projects in partnership with regional teams and partners, including co-generation of project ideas and plans, and fundraising.
• Project management of key international projects.
• Work with communications team to communicate global impact.

General:

• Liaise with colleagues working in the energy system and other business action campaigns including in international offices, as well as the technical team, to efficiently deliver REP activities.
• Represent REP and other business action campaigns at international events.
• Contribute to regular progress reports, annual reports and other matters as required.

RequirementsEssential:

• Proven success in developing and managing impactful projects and partnerships, with demonstrable aptitude in project and budget management.
• Knowledge and experience of renewable electricity markets as well as other energy and climate issues (detailed engineering or energy policy knowledge is not a requirement of this role, but an ability to work closely with experts to deliver credible andimpactful output, is critical).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a range of cultural contexts. Negotiation/conflict management experience will be valuable.
• Experience of leading and motivating a small team, building resource and capacity to deliver ambitious objectives.
• Commitment to the mission of REP and wider activity in the energy system.
• Experience working in, or in partnership with the private sector, ideally with senior/board level personnel.
• Appreciation of commercial and financial drivers for businesses and NGOs, and policy drivers for governments. Ideally the post holder will have experience of working with all these sectors.
• Experience of working in a global environment.
• Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multi-task to meet strict time lines and budgets.
• Proactive and able to work independently and unsupervised to deliver tasks and achieve project objectives.
• Team player with the ability to identify where support is needed and able to delegate effectively. Comfortable delivering an administrative workload where necessary alongside more strategic activities.
• A strong desire to develop skills and experience in line with the needs of a rapidly developing campaign.

Desirable:

• Media experience (providing interviews for print and an aptitude for external written communications).
• Strong research skills and ability to analyse complex policy and business content.
• Fundraising experience
• Experience working internationally with governments and regulators

Location: London, or Amsterdam (hybrid working approach for both).
