Job Description

Senior HR Advisor - 12 month FTC£45,000 - £55,000Perm - LondonMy client, a leading global law firm with an excellent reputation in the industry, they are now looking for a positive and dedicated Senior HR Advisor to join their HR department on a 12 month FTC basis, in their fast-paced London, Manchester, Birminghamor Leeds office.This role will suit an experienced HR Advisor looking to take the next step in their career.As a Senior HR Advisor, your role will be to deliver HR support and advice to partners and managers for allocated teams, build strong and effective relationships and be the first point of HR contact for while having responsibility to lead on various HR projectsKey Duties Include:

  • Understand the objectives and overall strategy of the firm and strive to support these through the provision of HR support.
  • With support as required from the Senior HRBP, work with the allocated Business Operations Heads to provide strategic guidance and support in the delivery of the departmental specific Business Operations strategy.
  • With support as required from the Senior HRBP, support the creation and delivery of a department talent management plan which aids the identification of high potential individuals and implements succession plans for key roles.
  • With support as required from the Senior HRBP, support and encourage process of talent development for key individuals within designated departments, ensuring retention plans are created and implemented where appropriate.
  • For designated departments, ensure the annual performance appraisal process is completed in a timely and fair manner; facilitate department wide moderation to ensure a robust and consistent distribution of ratings.
  • Coach and influence managers from a people perspective, developing their people management/leadership skills and constructively challenging inappropriate behaviours/actions.
  • Encourage the pursuit of excellence in performance at all levels.
  • Provide proactive recruitment support, including interviewing, to designated departments, ensuring recruitment excellence is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure all hires are within agreed recruitment plans and provide business case support where required.
  • Act as the main HR point of contact for all new starter admin over and above HRSS support.
  • Manage the annual staff salary review process for designated department.
The Senior HR Advisor will have a strong understanding of employment law, employee statutory rights, the Equality Act, ACAS codes of practice, etc. The right candidate will be commercially aware, have strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication andteam working skills. The right candidate will be resilient, with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and deadlines. They will also be confident, pro-active with strong emotional intelligence.
