JOB AD:Job: Electronics/Hardware EngineerType: PermanentLocation: LondonSalary: £50,000 to £60,000 (dependent of experience) Start Date: ASAPA client based in London is looking for a Senior Engineer with Hardware and Electronics experience. if the candidate has any team leader or management skills, would be advantageous.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer (Analogue/Digital) to complement the existing design team playing a significant part in the product development of a novel antenna system. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic London-based technology company developing and delivering complex and innovative products into the aerospace, maritime and land mobile industries.Role:As a member of the hardware development team, your role will be to design, verify, commission, and productise board-level hardware designs for my clients Antenna products.Candidate will need to take ownership of hardware designs from assisting with requirements specifications, generating hardware specifications, schematic entry though to PCB layout, fabrication, commissioning, verification and managing systems integration into platforms.Collaborate with the other members of the hardware, software, systems, and mechanical teams to ensure effective support of the existing development programmes and Antenna Systems.Perform design calculations and carry out SI simulations using industry standard tools to estimate performance, mitigate high-risk areas and ensure reliable designs.Support product design, software integration, validation, and handover to production with other Engineering team members.Ensure the products are designed for EMC, Environmental and other regulatory approvals and meet the requirements for volume manufacturing (DFT/DFM).Skills:A good first or upper 2nd Class degree (BEng/MEng) in Electronic/Electrical Engineering from a leading University.FPGAVHDL or Verilog (Altera / Intel Cyclone)Digital and Analogue DesignHardware/Electronicshigh-speed multi-layer PCBs (Altium)Embedded (ARM Cortex family of MCUs, combined with FPGAs and Ethernet Switches. Familiar with interfacing to external memories and peripherals such as Parallel/SPI Flash, SRAM, Ethernet PHYs, CAN)High Speed (Pcie or PCI-e or DDR or ADC or DAC)Design for test - DFM/DFT for volume manufacture
