The team is instrumental to the smooth running of Quilter Investors funds. The team’s responsibilities are diverse and is perfect for someonewho enjoys working with a good degree of stability but also crave for a varied workday. As the company enters a growth phase to build our affluent wealth business there will be some exciting projects for us to get involved.The team consists of 5 experienced and friendly professionals reporting to the Head of Fund Accounting. We value these behavioural skills and are looking for a new team member who we can depend on, who acts with focus and care and concentrates on the finer details and maintains a highlevel of accuracy under pressure.About the roleLevel: 4Department: Investment OperationsLocation: London, United KingdomContract: Permanent, Full-TimeOur Senior Fund Accountant will be performing day-to-day activities for the Fund Accounting Team (“BAU”) by rota. That is to sign off NAV of the funds calculated by the Fund Administrators daily. Our fund range includes OEICs and Trusts. Asset classes spanacross Fund of Funds (FoFs), equities, fixed income and derivatives. You will run a series of predetermined tests and probing activities to ensure the NAV calculated is free from material errors. You will be an individual who isn’t afraid to challenge thestatus quo.Alongside your day-to-day, you will be assigned to various tasks depending on your expertise and our need such as:Fund Expenses monitoring (KID, OGC/OCF/TER, invoicing)Financial Reporting and AuditMarket OpeningVendor Management (Vendors like Auditors, Third Party Administrator, Depositaries and many more)Liaising with portfolio managersRegulatory Reporting (PRIIPS, AIFMD etc)Fund Tax (WHT and CGT)Projects and change for business growth (product changes, regulatory changes)The team monitors a central mailbox where everyone is allocated queries to manage.You will have strong client management skills to be able to thrive in this position.About youApplications from people with diverse backgrounds enables our inclusive organisation to thrive. You will be familiar with some, if not all of these topics to bring yourknowledge and insight to the role.Ideally, you will have an accounting qualification however this is not essential to the role as long as you can demonstrate good relevant accounting experience as an alternative.You will have a good understanding across custody, asset servicing, finance, audit or the wider fund management landscape.You’ll bring strong leadership skills to this position so will be able to evidence that you have led on projects in the past.You will be a confident communicator where you can articulate well in meetings as well as producing well written documents on a given subject.Methodical in your approach when reviewing with good attention to detail and can utilise trend analysis to spot anomalies.You will have excellent time management skills, being able to stay on top of tasks and deadlines.You will have proficient skills on Excel, Word, PowerPoint which are essential.
