Amazon is seeking a highly analytical and resourceful Financial Analyst to support capex investments for EU Amazon Transportation Services (ATS). At Amazon we are continuously innovating on behalf of our customers to deliver more selection, faster, andat lower prices. In this role, you will influence customer experience and drive profitability by directly impacting the planning and execution of Amazon transportation network in Europe. The role requires the ability to fully grasp the economics of our supplychain network and effectively partner with business stakeholders to drive changes that maximize Amazon long-term free cash flows.Key job responsibilities- Analyzing business cases for capex investments including partnering with cross-functional teams such as Real Estate, Design & Construction, and Middle Mile Node Planning;- Promoting continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of best practices and automation initiatives;- Supporting reporting and planning with insights into the impact of investments on financial performance;- Making data-driven recommendations that influence stakeholders at director level and drive consensus across organizations.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:London, GBRBASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelors degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelors degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
