Job Description

Reed Public Sector Hub is actively recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager for a Local Government Organisation, part of GLA.Contracts Length:1 year contract – potential for extensionDay rate: £300- £388 PAYE or £450 - £550 UmbrellaHybrid workingRole Purpose:

  • Establish robust financial processes, systems, and information to support effective decision making to prioritise and deliver change projects and initiatives across a wide range of the GLA Group’s collaborative activities
  • Co-ordinating, consolidating and reporting a consistent view of the in-year (periodic) and multi-year forecast against budget and plan.
  • Lead on the key requirements of the collaboration portfolio within the Mayor’s Consolidated Group Budget annual financial cycle e.g., budget setting, monitoring, and final accounts. Including close working with GLA Group Finance colleagues regarding thesubmission of relevant collaboration portfolio information into the Mayor’s Budget Guidance and Consolidated Group Budget reports.
  • Work with the Senior Portfolio Manager, stakeholders across the Group and other third parties in developing appropriate methodologies for accurately determining and validating the financial benefits achieved across the collaboration projects.
Key person requirements:
  • CCAB qualified accountant
  • Advanced Excel.
