Job Description

Senior Finance Manager / Holborn, London / £350 per dayAre you a seasoned finance professional seeking a dynamic role that offers multi-faceted challenges and the opportunity to make a tangible impact Look no further! Were seeking a talented Operational Finance Manager to join our client, a global leader inthe pharmaceutical industry.As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations across four UK legal entities. From managing reporting obligations to supporting tax compliance and process improvement initiatives, youll be at the forefront of drivingfinance objectives and ensuring operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal and external reporting, ensuring deadlines are met and audits are conducted efficiently.
  • Project manage and contribute to the preparation and review of statutory accounts.
  • Support the month-end close process, including journal preparation and reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and employment taxes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement local policies and address compliance needs.
  • Build strong relationships across finance and business units to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • ACA Qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
  • Strong understanding of UK taxation and compliance principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and prioritise effectively.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
