Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and outgoing finance professional to join a global health charity on an contract basis. This is a high-profile role that will take the lead on annual budgeting and planning process, and produce meaningful reports and analysis to aid decision making whilst the current post holder steps into the system implementation full time for 9 months. There is potential for the contract to be extended.You will work closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders globally to understand the needs of each budget holder and work to develop a robust and streamlined budgeting and planning processes through a business partnering approach.Key accountabilities;

  • To manage the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, leading teams across the various regional offices to work together in producing consolidated forecasts and budgets.
  • Consolidation and reporting of monthly management accounting figures.
  • Review of monthly numbers with key budget holders, understanding variances and actioning as appropriate.
  • Lead on implementing and supporting the cashflow forecasting process, creating improved visibility for treasury management.
  • Implement improved financial performance management processes, by pioneering a business partnering approach with budget holders.
  • Provide insightful analysis to support the business with decision-making.
  • Implement enhanced financial management reporting to support improved financial performance management.
  • Ad hoc reports for various stakeholders, including to support funding requests to donors.
  • The ideal candidate will have at minimum played a key part in the budget setting processes in a large, international organisation. You will be a fully qualified accountant with strong communication skills and demonstrable experience of working with non-finance stakeholders to enhance reporting and financial awareness. You will also experience of cash-flow forecasting.There is a real opportunity for a self-motivated individual to really make your mark and directly impact the future success of this long-established charity.
