THE GIG Reporting into the Finance Business Partner (FBP), the role of the Senior finance Analyst - Digital is to provide commercial and financial support to the Ecommerce trading teams, assessing daily trade, and providing variance analysis,and assessing business cases to aid demand generation. We are hiring for this position on a 12-month fixed term basis. You will provide valuable business support to the teams to support with investment decisions, and ensure trade is on track to deliver ourambitious plans. As our Senior finance Analyst – Digital EMEA, you will:

  • Provide commercial insight, financial planning and tracking progress against key strategic priorities set out in the EMEA strategy.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team on a weekly basis to challenge the spend across all platforms, closely monitoring the ROI of campaigns and balancing spend across upper funnel activity to drive customer acquisition.
  • Create and review business cases to obtain sign off for projects to drive growth and maximise profitability, including payment methods and on-site merchandising.
  • Support the Finance Business Partner with the budget and forecasting process, in close collaboration with the Head of Ecommerce, trade, digital marketing and merchandising teams.
  • Quantify risks and opportunities to achieve the growth plan, influencing the content, marketing, and trade teams, using insights to mitigate where necessary.
  • Deliver month end, including calculation of accounting adjustments such as the returns provision.
  • Deliver the monthly S&OP pack with thorough understanding of performance versus the forecast.
  • Support with the implementation of pricing and planning of promotional events to maximise gross margin, whilst ensuring obsolete stock levels are closely monitored.
  • Support and analyse the performance of our omni channel roll-out, collaborating with the Retail and Technology teams to enable and drive commercial insights for future decision making with a Direct-to-Consumer mindset.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:
  • Qualified accountant, or have appropriate background in a similar role, and are an experienced FP&A professional
  • Experience in working with Digital channels in a retail environment, (omnichannel desirable).
  • Ability to evaluate and challenge ROI with a commercial mindset
  • Ability to build credibility with wide range stakeholders across the business in order to quickly work cross functionally
  • Understand the detail and ensure accuracy, but also be able to summarise at an management level and present in a digestible format to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise, working in a matrix organisation
  • Great excel and PowerPoint skills, previous experience using D365 is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work proactively and autonomously, identifying and undertaking project work when required to improve a process
