Job Description

Senior Exadata DBA sought by leading financial services organisation based in the city of London.**Inside IR35 - Hybrid working**Day to day activities :

  • Exadata/DB support (container with multiple PDBs)
Database refresh :
  • Fix and resume failed refreshes
  • Update and complete refresh repository data
  • ASM disk group space issues
  • Check connection issues
  • OUD account actions like OUD password resets
  • Application wallets and TDE wallets
  • Performance issues
  • Switchover activities at application level like for Microstrategy
    • Solaris/RHEL support
  • Assist in ODS file manipulations
  • Fix NFS issues with Solaris and Exadata squad
    • Oracle Cloud Control (OCC)
  • Create custom metrics / reports
  • Gather info from the Oracle Management Repository (OMR)
  • Update target properties so that databases appear in the inventory sheet
    • OMSB
  • Fix OMSB configuration issues
  • Fix issues at DB level
  • Update OMSB playbook configuration (new databases, upgraded databases,...)
    • ORDS (Oracle REST Data Services) used by BIREF portal and APEX applications like BIFI
    • DEVOPS
  • Fix OPERATOR and DEPLOY privileges at user level
