Job Description

The Role: Senior ESG Engagement Event Specialist, EMEA Grade: 10 ( relevant for internal applicants only ) The Location: London, United Kingdom and Madrid, Spain The Team: The S&P Global Sustainable1 marketing team was founded to build awareness of S&P Globals in-depth Sustainability intelligence providing financial institutions, corporations and governments an unmatched level of clarity and confidence to successfullynavigate the transition to a sustainable future.   • Work on the ESG marketing team, as part of a Fortune 500 company that is over 150 years old

  • Develop highly visible, creative marketing engagement programs that inform the transition to a sustainable future
  • Fine tune the value of a multi-channel approach to achieving results
  • Cultivate marketing engagement skills and explore innovation opportunities
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-divisional marketing and functional teams to develop and execute in-person and virtual ESG engagement programs (webinars, roundtables, receptions, third-party sponsorships, etc.) for the Europe regions that support a global marketingstrategy
  • Determine program needs (venue, format, assets, etc.) based on the overall goal and objective of the ESG engagement program
  • Collaborate with Creative and Brand to develop innovative marketing content surrounding ESG engagement programs
  • Write engaging copy for email invites, landing pages, and social channels that clearly communicates ESG engagement program content and takeaways
  • Update S&P Globals Event Website with ESG engagement programs
  • Manage ESG engagement program operations and logistics, internal and external stakeholder co-ordination, and budget
  • Record, analyze and present ESG engagement program metrics and MQLs to report back on overall success
What Were Looking For: The ideal candidate will possess ESG marketing engagement and events experience and demonstrate a keen interest in accelerating the transition to a low carbon, sustainable and equitable future. Strong written and communication skills are critical, as is theability to be a strong contributor. The candidate must demonstrate their ability to deliver a top-quality client experience alongside strong attention to the details. Deep expertise and hands-on experience with technical marketing and event platforms suchas Marketo, Cvent, ON24, Zoom Pro, Crownpeak, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office (in particular PowerPoint), Event apps, and Adobe (or comparable platforms) is essential. Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent (Marketing, Events, Communications, Business or related field preferred) is preferred
  • Event Management Skills (vendor sourcing, AV, production, F&B, and Exhibits)
  • Knowledge of venues in European cities and negotiate contracts
  • Experience working in ESG or Sustainable Finance in a marketing or event capacity
  • Knowledge of ESG and Sustainable Finance in the Europe regions
  • Experience in writing marketing copy that clearly communicates a products benefits and unique selling proposition
  • Ability to travel around the Europe & some global regions as needed (20% travel)
  • Foundational understanding of the industries and markets covered by S&P Global
  • Ability to collaborate with a global team as well as others beyond ones reporting line
  • Experience in budget management
  • Strong presentation skills and written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changeable environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience and deep understanding of the On24 Webinar and Zoom platforms
  • Familiarity with S&P Globals lineup of ESG products and solutions
  • Experience with Crownpeak and/or other CMS systems
  • Customer service oriented, highly organized, and has a high sense of urgency
  • Experience with collaboration in a team oriented, global, and multi-cultural environment
