Job Description

Senior Energy and Sustainability ConsultantLocation: LondonSalary: DOERef: TJ1157Penguin Recruitment are pleased to be working with an independent engineering and sustainability consultancy on their journey to find a Senior Energy and Sustainability Consultant to join their team in London.This consultancy offer practical and well-engineered sustainable solutions and aim to deliver cost effective and innovative advice to their clients.The role:

  • Providing engineering and sustainability consultation and support for both new and existing domestic and non-domestic buildings
  • Supporting the team with technical delivery of projects
  • Working with both public and private sector clients
  • Managing the budget of individual projects
  • Supporting and assisting other members of the team
  • Maintaining client and delivery team relationships
  • Energy modelling
  • Delivering Energy and Sustainability strategies for planning, environmental assessment, building regulation and strategic consultancy
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Maintaining professional knowledge of energy, sustainability, and carbon technologies
  • Providing design advice and modelling to assess environmental conditions and building performance
  • Overall tracking and monitoring of environmental assessments
    • What you will need:
  • Science or engineering degree
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • BREEAM accreditation and demonstrable experience of delivering BREEAM certification for projects
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to deliver presentations and proposals to clients
  • Knowledge and experience of energy efficient building design and specification
  • Experience and/or qualifications in building energy modelling packages e.g. SAP and IES
  • Qualified DEA or NDEA or OCDEA
  • Preferably CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant
  • Experience with and knowledge of ISO14001
