Job Description

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading multi-discipline engineering consultancy on either a contract or permanent basis working remotely. The selected Electrical Design Engineer will be joining the critical systems team, focussing on HV design for a range of projects in the rail sector.As the selected Principal Electrical Engineer, your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a range of project work
  • Completing detailed designs with a specific focus on HV designs and critical systems
  • Reporting and reviewing electrical engineering options, and creating final proposals
  • Attending project design team meetings
  • Liaising with the client and other key stakeholders
  • Maintaining excellent levels of client satisfaction
    • Essential skills, experience and attributes:
  • Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
  • Proven experience within a similar role
  • Experience working on rail projects
  • Background in detailed design of electrical distribution at MV and LV
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong ability using Amtech and Dialux and other relevant software
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards and legislation
