Job Description

Lead DevOps EngineerLondonHybrid Remote (1-2 days per week in the London office)£90k DOE + 10% BonusTelecomsLove working with AWS, Kubernetes and Security implementationRead on...ADA is working with an organization that operates at the core of the UK/international broadcast sector; ensuring the transmission of media and data from broadcasters to screens and smart meters.The business is looking to continue to implement its DevOps strategyacross all of its key domains, currently operating at a successful level of maturity. Theyve legacy projects which need moving over into a more modern approach, so you’ll have the chance to work across different infrastructures and stakeholders.Are you idealAn ideal candidate will have a proven track record delivering high-performance, high-availability systems, with significant experience in AWS (ideally serverless services) and strong experience writing Terraform.You’ll be pivotal in supporting development/deployment of cloud services supporting critical national infrastructure, using Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC), and responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing services.You’ll enjoy security and have an interest in DevSecOps backed up with a high technical knowledge.Responsibilities;

  • Maintain current services; focused on cost, reliability and security
  • Design solutions and produce low level designs
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement, both small and large, into the team
  • Be a strong advocate for DevOps methodologies, representing the team to stakeholders, and enforcing best practices
  • Mentor members of the team on their technical skills
  • Leading DevOps effort across project specific scrums
Tech;
  • Passion for advocating DevOps methodologies and mentoring other staff on best practices
  • AWS Expertise (including serverless)
  • Terraform and/or other IaC technologies
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Ansible
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • Linux
  • Agile project methodologies
  • Python (ideally) or one other language
  • Git version control
