Job Description

James Adams is recruiting for a fast-growing and profitable consulting start-up, searching for a Senior Developer with strong Front End and JavaScript experience to be their employee number 4, sitting on the senior management team and reporting to the 2 Co-Founders.This senior developer/lead position has real buy-in and genuine involvement in the business’s future. You’ll be involved in both technology and strategy, working with the business and clients to deliver cutting edge and scalable digital solutions via apps, websites, and products.This role would either suit someone who wants more control of what they are doing or someone looking to take a step up.You’ll be doing a bit of everything, helping them hire a technical team, getting involved in solutions design and architecture, picking the best tools for each job, and at the start, working as the lead developer on all new customer projects (alongside a team of freelancers).

  • In terms of the tech stack, it’s quite minimalist at the moment. They’d like to use more React, so experience in React would be great.
  • They love the idea of a low code ecosystem and modern tools that make life easier so if you like working with Typescript or have experiences with tools like Honeycode, Flutter Webflow or Adalo, etc, that would be great. As you’ll be on the same page.
    • This is a genuine greenfield opportunity where you can write your own job spec, this role may well be a technical director-level position in 2-3 years’ time as the business grows. We’re not looking for years of experience for this one, we’re looking for the right attitude and the desire to get involved in something incredibly exciting at the ground level and grow with it.Currently the business function on a fully remote basis. When things get back to normal, they’d ideally like someone who can get to a central London location 1 -2 days a week, as they’d like to have collaboration and brainstorming sessions together on a weekly basis.
