Job Description

As the Senior Designer, you will help define and drive the future of the Linnworks brand and sub-brands. You will lead and grow our network of freelance designers and help build and maintain design strategy and processes. With a strong focus on digital design, you will drive the continual improvement of the brand and UX design across all our digital touch points and marketing and sales collateral.As part of the Brand Experience team, you will report directly to the VP Marketing. You will be responsible for overseeing the creation of all assets and deliverables and ensure all brand touch points are of the highest standard. You will also give creative direction to all resources through every phase of design from concept to execution and production.You will thrive in a collaborative space where everyone’s learning from each other, and learning fast. You will become an indispensable resource to the entire company by providing creative solutions and direction to support each team’s goals and objectives, along with the wider company’s strategy.The ideal candidate will be a mix of mentor, manager, collaborator and creator. You will draw as much professional enjoyment from the successes of your team and your colleagues as you do from your own personal hands on involvement in design.This role will be primarily remote based but will require some occasional travel to London and the UK head office in Chichester West SussexResponsibilities:

  • Lead the design, direction and evolution of the Linnworks brand, sub-brands and visual identity
  • Manage the creation and development of all design across internal teams and brands through the freelance designers network. Retain the right balance of good design and commerciality, in line with the company vision and brand
  • Manage and monitor design delivery against agreed deliverable targets
  • Conceptualise and identify design requirements from the brief
  • Creative lead for large design projects
  • Ensuring an agile working environment, constantly implementing, testing and improving processes
  • Coach and manage a high performing team of freelancers demonstrating the ability to communicate the vision, lead, inspire and motivate
  • Devise design and brand strategies and road maps
  • Work closely with the VP Marketing and wider marketing team to communicate company branding and narrative
  • Manage the design budget for freelance resource
  • Ensure design/UX best practice is kept up to date and followed at all times
  • What you’ll need:
  • Ideally 5+ years experience as a designer in a digital environment
  • Proven experience designing websites, digital media, large scale event assets and print assets
  • Proven experience designing fully responsive website, landing page and email design
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience with video and animations for social posts or short promos
  • Experience managing freelance designers and external resources
  • Strong knowledge of UX design processes and methodology
  • Experience in creating design repositories and component libraries and usage guidelines
  • Experience in brand building or digital brand application
  • Expert in graphic design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign as well as Sketch and/or Figma. Advanced skills in Webflow highly desirable
