Job Description

Role: Senior Data Warehouse DeveloperLocation: LondonFTC 12 MonthsSalary: Competitive + BenefitsKey Skills and Experience:

  • Technical specification of Data Warehouse and ETL solutions based upon business specifications, user requirements and optimal presentation of data to reporting tools such Microstrategy.
  • Design and Development of all aspects of Data Warehouse and ETL Solutions including Databases, Tables, Stored Procedures, SSIS Packages and any other required objects. Design will ensure data is modelled logically, consistently and intuitively, making certain that solutions perform optimally within agreed tolerances.
  • Completion of development within agreed timescales and quality tolerances, with exception reporting to appropriate reporting lines when these will not be achieved.
  • Provide consultancy and development estimates with Key assumptions as part of evaluating work packages in support of projects.
  • Liaise with business representatives, business expert users and BA, PM, Developers and Architects to ensure all requirements are within scope of the proposed solution, the Data Warehouse structure and the companies data strategy.
  • Involvement in Project work as a Project Team Member
  • Production and maintenance of documentation including technical, procedural and administrative documents
  • Providing second line support as part of transitioning warehouse deliverables from projects to dedicated support team.
  • Involvement with, and management of, the promotion of developed solutions through various environments in adherence to the change control lifecycle.
    • Additional Requirements:
  • Eligible to work in the UK without the need of visa support/sponsorship
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Essential experience: Financial Services
  • Insurance - London Market - highly desirable
