Job Description

Senior Data Engineer | REMOTE (UK based) | Up to £55,000 per annum + benefits SQL, AWS, Redshift, Big Query, R/Python The company:A world renowned media group that dominate the publishing and broadcasting industry are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer as they connect their audiences with compelling and quality content. Although the business have 100+ brands, you will be working in a close-knit team of six like-minded individuals made up of CRM, Data Engineering and Analytics experts to build out their AWS infrastructure and rescale their bespoke ETL pipelines.They have an open work environment and inclusion between various teams to encourage further learning at all levels with an added bonus of being involved and get your hands dirty in a variety of projects across different brands that otherwise wouldnt be possible at other corporate businesses. The company cultivates a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone is valued and rewarded for their good work.Your skills and expertise:

  • An enthusiastic and data-driven Engineer with a keen interest in owning, developing and optimising business insights and reporting across various departments using R scripts (or Python) and statistics.
  • Ideally, youve previously designed end to end solutions that have driven comprehensive digital commercial insights that have helped shape business decisions.
  • You are accustomed to surfacing data via APIs and transforming the analysis into real insights before piping this into backend technologies including BigQuery and Redshift.
  • You will ideally be familiar with Looker as the primary BI platform.
  • Most importantly… You have strong SQL skills and understand general data warehousing concepts
    • The Senior Data Engineering role can offer a salary of £55,000 with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and the option to buy additional holiday days.
