We are looking for a senior data engineer with strong experience building high quality data assets and high-performance data services on Microsoft Azure. We need someone who is also very well versed in the art of web scraping and REST / SOAP API development.Our data pool is extremely rich already, but we are looking to take it to the next level. So far, we have terabytes of structured and unstructured data. We have web scrapes, operational data, documents (parsed and unparsed).THE RESPONSIBILITIESBuild and maintain high quality data pipelines and data models.Design, build and deploy REST / SOAP APIs.Design, build and maintain web scrapers.Essential Microsoft Azure services are: Azure functions, Azure Logic App Data Factory, Databricks, Cosmos DB, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL and Datawarehouse, and HDInsight.Experience building ELT pipelines that follow a rigorous data quality framework is essential.Experience building sophisticated web scrapers.Modis International Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers in the UK.
