This can be working from home.From problem solvers and logical thinkers to solution finders and creative innovators, the team combines decades of data science knowledge, industry expertise and strategic thinking to push the boundaries of whats possible with dataand have plenty of funalong the way.Senior Data EngineerWorking from home with a couple of days per week in London£75-85K plus extensive benefits packageTo be successful in this role:You will be a confident Senior Data Engineer who is comfortable dealing with both internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for individuals who have proven big data experience, either from an implementation or a data science perspective along witha strong coding background in Scala. Other requirements for this role include:

  • Experience in working in an Agile environment
  • Expert knowledge of at least one big data technology such as Spark, Hadoop, or Elasticsearch
  • Experience of building data processing pipelines for use in production "hands off" batch systems, including either traditional ETL pipelines and/or analytics pipelines
  • Passion and drive to grow within one of the UKs fastest growing scale-ups
  • Consulting or business facing skills and a desire to work with customers
  • Must be comfortable in a working from home environment
Job role and responsibilities:As a Senior Data Engineer you will be managing, transforming and cleansing high volume data, helping Tier 1 clients solve business problems in the area of fraud, compliance and financial crime. Being Agile will be an integral part to your success and havingregular team sprints and Scrum meetings with your Projects team is essential. Other responsibilities for this working from home role include:
  • Working closely with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, Project Managers and Solutions Architects
  • Following a common goal of meeting Clients expectations and delivering a first-class service
  • Using the latest and leading open source big-data technologies
  • Using tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Scala, Data Fusion and Elasticsearch on a platform hosted on Google cloud (GCP)
