Charity People is thrilled to be working with the UKs leading childrens charity; dedicated to protecting children today and preventing abuse tomorrow; in their search for a new Senior Copywriter. Their vision is clear: to end cruelty to children; helping children to rebuild their lives, and to support families via therapeutic services and the provision of national helplines, as well as working with schools to conduct groundbreaking research, and campaignfor change. In post, you will develop and lead strategy relating to copywriting, core messaging and tone of voice for the organisation. Youll share your knowledge and expertise through workshops and consultation, and youll work closely with Head of Creative and othersenior manages within Creative Team and wider Brand and Content, to drive up the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of their communications, and ensure they are talking to supporters and the people they help in the most effective way possible.Core responsibilities will be to: * Ensure the quality and consistency of their verbal brand identity and creative work - copywriting, core messaging and tone of voice.* Support the Head of Creative and wider studio to ensure consistency and excellence of copy collateral across all marketing and communications. * Agree and deliver projects from initial concepts through to completion, working alongside with the Head of Creative, Designers and Production Managers and other Copywriters. Review, approve and present final copy and concepts when appropriate. * Help to develop the brand, working closely with the Head of Creative and other seniors within the Brand and Content Team. * Work closely with teams across the charity that are responsible for generating content - especially those within the Brand and Content Team (Social Team and Web Content) - offering expert advice and creative solutions on all matters relating to copy and toneof voice. * Manage the Midweight and Junior Copywriter, and work with and help other studio team members to ensure all copy is of a consistently high standard. * Share industry insight and expertise on copywriting, core messaging, tone of voice and branding to colleagues. * Take a lead role in developing high-quality writing standards, including helping with style guides and workshops. Ideally, you will have copywriting experience in an agency or in-house team, alongside experience of delivering and inputting on strategically led creative work. You will be an expert in all copywriting disciplines, demonstrating experience of producing high-levelcreative concepts across a broad range of briefs. You should have experience of leading on campaigns within a digital environment and be a confident guide for junior team members, and a variety of creative disciplines. You must be self-motivated and have excellentpersonal time management, planning and organisational skills. The charity is very flexible in terms of working hours and the postholder can work fully remotely, be in the office on a hybrid working basis, or office based full time when guidelines allow.
