Job Description

Senior Consultant Level - Management Consultant - Procurement Transformation - Technology Category - Global Management Consultancy - £60,000 - £750,000 + Benefits (London/Manchester with remote contracts)Pod is currently working with a leading global management consultancy as they continue to grow their procurement and supply chain consulting team. After a busy 2021 - this year is set to eclipse that with several new and exciting clients. These clientscan include Fortune 500 FMCG brands, leading food and beverage companies and complex pharmaceutical clients to name a few - so successful applicants are guaranteed a breadth of exciting transformational projects.What will the role entailAs part of the Procurement consulting team, you will work on a range of projects helping businesses to understand their procurement functions better, offering agile solutions to help improve the way they are run and helping them to automate and digitisetheir systems. You will:

  • Perform opportunity assessments - analysing the clients current set up and identifying areas for improvement across their procurement lifecycle - specifically in the IT category
  • Set and implement global processes to transform ways of working and improving global procurement strategies
  • Run large scale procurement transformation programmes across the technology category - helping clients to unlock savings and value generation is areas such as software, networks and SaaS
  • Work with clients to educate them and help implement a sustainable way of working to drive process improvement and continued success across their supply chains
What skills and experience are required
  • Previous consulting experience is a must - we are looking to speak with candidates who understand the consulting world and can hit the ground running
  • Strong functional knowledge across Procurement is a must - applicants must understand full category management and ideally have knowledge of the IT category
  • Experience running complex transformation projects with examples of delivery and client satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and influence decisions
  • Strong analytical mindset with a natural ability to solve complex procurement problems
  • Procurement knowledge of indirects
