The main responsibility of this role is to independently execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan and the Annual Risk Assessment reviews under the oversight of the Deputy Head of ComplianceAdditionally, the role-holder will be responsible for extracting insightful MI supportive of the bank’s obligation of identifying regulatory risk and weaker spots in the control environmentAdditionally, the role-holder will also support the Deputy Head of Compliance with breach management and to follow up on management actions when mitigation or remedial activities have been identifiedAs a senior member of the Compliance team, the role-holder will bring his/her subject matter expertise on effective compliance strategy and be able to transfer knowledge as part of its value-added approach of risk identificationTo execute the Compliance Monitoring PlanTo undertake the risk assessment on an annual basisTo report timely and create MI relevant to fulfil the bank’s risk assurance obligationsTo act as a subject matter expert on risk mitigation and manage the management actions in a timely, sound, and pragmatic wayTo assist the Deputy Head of Compliance with breach management including providing expertise in remedial activity if requiredTo participate in the maintenance of the bank’s Central Risk Register.To manage the Compliance’s own RegistersTo proactively act to keep all Compliance Assurance activities relevant and mindful of emerging risks and regulatory requirementsTo apply you need experience as a senior member of a Compliance Monitoring or Assurance team5 years’ experience in independently conducting risk assessments and assurance reviewsUnderstanding of effective breach management including the follow up of management actionsMethodical, proportionate, and risk-based approach to effective compliance monitoring and risk assessmentDemonstrable experience of effective communication with all levels of stakeholder. Excellent written and presentational skillsStrong knowledge of FCA Handbooks and PRA Rulebooks, with experience of banking and/or payments regulationDemonstrable understanding of the regulation of a UK High Net Worth customer base preferred Required skills
