The Team:The Data Management Lab (DML) sits within the Data organization and supports Datas pursuit of data management excellence through aligning industry best practices with Bloombergs established expertise in financial market data. DML empowers our data professionalsto make their products "ready-to-use", through promoting increased data discoverability, accessibility, appraisability, interoperability, and analysis-readiness. The Business Intelligence (BI) team sits alongside our Data Quality and Process Engineering teams and supports DMLs mission by empowering data teams to analyse their operations from our clients perspective. As a member of the BI team, you will lead the chargeto ensure Data provides our clients with high quality data that moves markets around the world. We partner closely with all Data product teams and our Engineering counterparts, to champion solutions that meet the needs of our client-facing products. Primary themes in this area include leading the continual refinement of the best practices and applicationof data management principles, as well as development of the tooling and solutions to measure our data products as fit-for-purpose. The Role:As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic and empowered group that acts as a catalyst for data-driven decision-making across multiple business units within the department. You will play a vital role in using data to drive strategicbusiness decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and uncover valuable insights. You will collaborate closely with partners from various business units, serving as an empowerment agent for their data needs. You will work alongside cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between data and business objectives to provide meaningful and actionableinsights. By understanding the unique requirements and challenges of each business unit, you will develop tailored analytical solutions and standardized reporting frameworks that support their specific goals. Your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional data analysis. As a trusted advisor, you will actively engage with partners, guiding them through the data exploration process, helping them uncover trends, patterns, and key performance indicators. By distillingcomplex datasets into clear and impactful visualizations, you will effectively communicate insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making at all levels of the organization. You will also have the opportunity to lead global projects that focus on operational analytics and data quality reporting. By collaborating with teams across different regions, you will contribute to the development of standardized solutions that measure productperformance, identify operational concerns, and drive continuous improvement.
